Hygiene and wellness startup Pee Safe has raised $3 million in funding to expand its retail presence in India, expand overseas, and for marketing and awareness initiatives.

The round was led by Natco Pharma and Rainmatter Health, which is backed by the Kamath brothers, founders of Zerodha. Alkemi Growth Capital also participated in the round.

Pee Safe, started as a toilet seat sanitiser provider, now offers products, including reusable pads, menstrual cups, tampons, and other intimate hygiene products, positioning them as pioneers in the intimate wellness sector.

In addition to online, Pee Safe claims that its products are available in over 15,000 brick-and-mortar stores spread across more than 70 cities in India.
