inDrive partners with Evera Cabs

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has partnered with Evera Cabs, an all-electric taxi service in India, to launch a fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) exclusively for women drivers.

The initiative is part of inDrive’s DrivingNaari program, which aims to empower women by providing them with equal opportunities to pursue careers as professional drivers.

What is the DrivingNaari program?

The DrivingNaari program by inDrive is designed to help underprivileged women become professional drivers.

Pavit Nanda Anand, APAC Communications Lead at inDrive, explained the program's goals: “The program is designed to equip women with the necessary skills and resources to become professional drivers, providing them with dignified and financially rewarding livelihoods.”

As part of the program, candidates receive a car financed by inDrive and enjoy commission-free rides on the inDrive platform.

How will the partnership with Evera Cabs help?

The collaboration with Evera Cabs enhances the DrivingNaari program by offering co-branded services to the participants.

This step is crucial for inDrive's expansion plans, especially in increasing its EV fleet in India.

Anand highlighted the significance of this partnership: “Our association with Evera Cabs will encourage our female driver-partners to become independent and confident individuals and take charge of their lives.”

Nimish Trivedi, CEO and Co-Founder of Evera, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative: “We are thrilled to work with inDrive and support women empowerment through this initiative. By providing a co-branded service to the candidates of the DrivingNaari program, we are enabling them to have a sustainable source of income and control over their own careers.”

Aims to break down barriers for women

This partnership aims to break down barriers and create more opportunities for women in the workforce. It also promotes gender equality in the transportation industry, a sector traditionally dominated by men.

The collaboration is expected to benefit individual drivers and contribute to the overall growth of the community.

Trivedi added, “We believe that this collaboration will not only benefit the individual drivers but also contribute to the overall growth of our community.”
