Google India has partnered with one of the largest stated in India Maharashtra to provide access to the digital classes to 23 million students and teachers at no charge.
The company, Google India, which recently announced an investment of $10 billion in India, to empower digitization and its infrastructures in the country.
According to the Maharashtra Govt survey, more than 150,000 teachers have signed up for this program in the past 48 hours, this shows the teacher's interest in digital classrooms.
As part of the collaboration, the state govt will provide free Google tools like Gsuite, Google docs to teachers for the better teaching experience.
Furthermore, India is a very critical market for Google, and its focus on the country has becoming deepening in the last few years. Google is constantly making huge investments in India to improve its infrastructure and to empower digitization in the country.
Moreover, Google has also made a hub for educators named as 'Teach From Anywhere', in Marathi, a regional language of Maharashtra".

Google will help our department to roll out tech solutions to students in more than 190,000 schools. said, Varsha Gaikwad, the education minister of Maharashtra.
Adding the statement, “Our goal is to make Maharashtra the most progressive state in education by making effective use of online resources, platforms, bandwidth, and technology, using the power of the internet to reach out to the masses and bridge the gap in education,” said, Varsha Gaikwad.
Moreover, It also unveiled a grant of $1 Million to the Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF), a foundation in India that works with partners to provide educational opportunities to underprivileged children from Google.org, Google’s philanthropic platform.
Earlier this year, Google has partnered with CBSE to train more than a million teachers across 22,000 schools for providing online education using Google provided resources.
According to the sources, Recently, Facebook has also partnered with CBSE to launch a certified curriculum on digital safety and online well-being and augmented reality for students and educators in the country.
