Bengaluru-based edtech startup WinUall raises Rs 14.7 crore ($2 million) investment from Prime Ventures, BEENEXT, existing investor Ramakant Sharma (founder, Livespace), and other angel investors.

The startup will use this capital in enhancing its product and services capabilities and hiring across technology, artificial intelligence, and business development teams.

According to the reports, WinUall is planning to add more than 20,000 institutes and serve more than 3 million students across the country by the end of the next year.

The announcement comes after the COVID-19 pandemic led a massive surge in the adoption of online education. The shift to online education medium has become a source of growth for edtech platforms such as BYJU's, Vedantu, and many more.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, WinUall witnessed a massive increase in the number of signups and live class hours. In fact, WinUall has delivered more than 50 million minutes of learning in its platform.

WinUall has onboarded more than 3,700 coaching institutes in its platform, aims to add more than 20,000 institutes by the end of 2021.

“We believe digital tools will become an integral part of the learning experience and evolve our education system in a massive way going forward," said Ashwini Purohit, Founder and CEO, WinUall.

"Our aim is to enable tutors in the country to go digital and improve the quality of learning for students," he added.

"The tutoring market is at a significant inflection point, and there are a lot of tutors who want to manage their own student interactions and develop an independent identity," said Shripati Acharya, Managing Partner, Prime Venture Partners.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the growth of the online education industry. edtech startups such as BYJU's, Vedantu, Brainly, Cuemath, and many more witnessed a huge increase in signups and revenue.

BYJU's reported Rs 2,800 crore revenue in FY-2020, Other edtech startups such as Vedantu and Cuemath also reported huge growth in their business.

About - WinUall is a Bangalore-based edtech startup founded in 2015 by Ashwini Purohit. WinUall aims to provide technology and AI infrastructure to various coaching institutes and teachers to build their own customized app for their students.

To name a few WinUall offers live lectures, recorded video library, tests and quizzes, your own eCommerce store, collecting fees, on app doubts, attendance, management of batches, notifications, managing events, etc.

The startup provides a SaaS platform to institutes and teachers on a subscription basis. It also enables tutors to sell their content and services to a broader audience and charge a small transaction fee on that.
