Aadit Palicha-led Zepto and Zomato-owned Blinkit have entered the fast-track race to deliver Apple's iPhone 16 to customers in just 10 minutes, expanding their services beyond traditional groceries and household items.
The move highlights the rapid evolution of India’s quick commerce platforms, which are now venturing into electronics.
BigBasket, in partnership with Croma, was the first to offer this ultra-fast iPhone 16 delivery service, and now competitors Zepto and Blinkit have followed suit.

Announcing the development on X, CEO Hari Menon, said, "Today’s the day! At 8:00 am, the first iPhone 16 order hit Bigbasket Now. By 8:07 am, it was in our customer’s hands. Yes, just 7 minutes from checkout to unboxing! We’re now serving more than groceries before you finish your morning coffee."
According to Menon, Bigbasket delivered an iPhone 16 to a customer in Koramangala, Bengaluru, at 8:07 a.m., just seven minutes after the order was placed at 8:00 a.m.
Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa also announced on X that the company has started delivering the iPhone 16 through Unicorn stores in select regions, with delivery times under 10 minutes.
This isn't Blinkit's first venture into selling Apple products; the platform has been offering iPhones since the launch of the iPhone 14 and continues with the latest model.
"Get the all-new iPhone 16 delivered in 10 minutes! We’ve partnered with @UnicornAPR for the third year in a row, bringing the latest iPhone to Blinkit customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru (for now) — on launch day! P.S - Unicorn is also providing discounts with select credit cards and EMI options are available too ✌️," Dhindsa wrote.
Dhindsa also revealed that Blinkit began delivering the iPhone 16 at 8 a.m. on launch day and had sold 300 units within a few hours.
Meanwhile, Zepto has also started offering 10-minute iPhone 16 deliveries in cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
