Ather Energy rival Ola Electric launches S1 X variant; Know the complete details

Bengaluru-based Ola Electric recently introduced a new variant named 'S1 X 4kWh scooter'. The new variant, which priced at Rs 1,09,999, is built on the Gen-2 platform, featuring a 6kW motor that enables it to achieve a range of 190 km on a single charge.

It boasts a quick acceleration from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 90 km/h. The S1 X is available in a variety of colors, including Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver, with deliveries starting in April 2024.

Ola Electric announces service centre expansion 

To alleviate consumer concerns regarding battery health, Ola Electric said it has introduced an extended battery warranty of 8 years or up to 80,000 km for all its products, with an option to extend this warranty up to 125,000 km for an additional Rs 4,999.

The company is also expanding its service network by 50%, aiming to increase the number of service centers from 414 to around 600 across India by April 2024.

Additionally, Ola plans to enhance its fast-charging network to 10,000 points by the next quarter and is offering a portable fast charger for Rs 29,999.

Pricing and availability

The S1 X range is immediately available for purchase, with the 2kWh variant priced at Rs 79,999, the 3kWh at Rs 89,999, and the 4kWh at Rs 1,09,999. Ola Electric's premium S1 Pro (2nd Generation) is available at Rs 1,47,499, and the S1 Air at Rs 1,19,999.
