Ecommerce major Amazon India launches its online pharmacy service in Bengaluru, making its entry into the online medicine segment that has been significant traction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This move of Amazon India towards the online medicine segment can potentially redirect online medicine orders to Amazon even the sector is populated with the top platforms like Netmeds, 1mg, Phareasy, Medlife, etc.

Amazon pharmacy service offers currently in Bengaluru like home medical supplies & equipment, healthcare packages, prescription medication, and healthcare devices.

“We are launching Amazon Pharmacy in Bangaluru allowing customers to order prescription-based medication in addition to over-the-counter medicines, basic health devices, and Ayurveda medication from certified sellers,” said Amazon India’s spokesperson.
